Poulshot Farm Beef. Poulshot Farm is located just off the A 361 between Melksham and Devizes, it has been farmed by the Hues family for 44 years.. The cattle graze the 450 acre rich pasture from calves, and are fed on a100% farm produced diet. They are reared to the highest welfare standards and slaughtered locally with minimal transport creating less stress to the animal as well as reducing food miles and the farms carbon footprint. They are hung for 2-3 weeks to achieve maximum tenderness and then delivered to our kitchens. Manningford Trout Fisheries. All Manningford Trout are reared in the clear waters of the upper Avon. Fish are stocked at a low density in natural gravel ponds, allowing them to swim freely and mature naturally. The fish are reared for sport and are reared in a traditional way that ensures top quality fish. Manningfords supply some of the most prestigious waters in the UK Stocking and oxygen density levels of the farm are monitored continuously to ensure the fish get to the best possible standard. A small proportion of this high quality fish is sold exclusively to our restaurants Downland Produce Downland Produce are a family firm and are very proud of their reputation for producing succulent pork from their own pigs. Their breeding herd and growing pigs live outdoors in fields at Lacock,Wiltshire. They are fed naturally without the use of in-feed antibiotics. David Wilkinson personally controls and monitors production to ensure the highest standards from conception to plate. The welfare of his pigs is paramount. All butchery and preparation is carried out by Downlands at their Lacock premises. This way they can guarantee that all products are of the highest standard and are fresh. .
